COMMUNITY THROUGH SPORT
Project 2020 is a non-profit organization aiming to provide low income youths of the San Francisco mid-peninsula with the opportunity to learn to swim and play water polo.
Project 2020 was co-founded by Skylar Dorosin and Brenda Villa, who over the course of the past 3 years have held multiple clinics giving over 150 girls the opportunity to enjoy aquatic sports and learn important water safety skills. Project 2020 recognizes and addresses the need to offer swim and water polo lessons in communities that do not have consistent pool access or resources.
Project 2020 provides exercise, life lessons, and fun for the communities involved. By bringing swimming, water polo and team sports to these communities, we hope the youth in our program will grow in all facets of life, not just in the pool.
Project 2020 is now in the position to offer a water polo program for the girls and boys that have benefitted from our clinics and who are ready to compete and be part of a water polo team. We firmly believe that community through sport can enrich the lives of our athletes, and now we can provide that community on a daily basis.
